ROLE DESCRIPTIONMaria Melnik - State Farm Agent is seeking an organized and efficient specialist to fulfill administrative duties and support insurance agents in gaining and keeping customers. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Open and prepare the office for service at 9:00 AM.
  • Close the office for the day/weekend between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
  • Collect insurance payments, maintain accurate records of all payments, and make end of day bank deposits between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM.
  • Answer the phone using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Greet and welcome customers (all walk- ins) as soon as they come to the office using professional etiquette.
  • Assist or direct visitors/customers to the appropriate person/department.
  • Scan, shred, copy, e-fax, e-mail (encrypt where needed) documents.
  • Schedule appointments for the Agent, call/email/text appointment reminders.
  • Follow up on No-Show list to re-schedule appointments.
  • Prepare needed documents and folders for Agent's appointments.
  • Receive, review, process and distribute incoming mail and handle outgoing mail (regular, FedEx, UPS, etc. as needed) daily.
  • Trips to the Post Office as needed.
  • Create and maintain customer accounts by always confirming contact information.
  • Call/text/email customers on non-pay cancellation list - this is where policies are terminating for non-payment of premium and other reasons. Set-up follow ups, obtain reasons for cancellation.
  • Practice confidentiality of personal and financial information in every situation.
  • Collect and enter all information proficiently without errors.
  • Keep the reception area clean and organized.
  • Keep kitchen, office and insurance supplies adequately stocked by checking inventory needs and sending order requests to the Office Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Agent or Office Manager.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, payments, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification. Transfer calls to others accordingly.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
  • Use exemplary communication to efficiently meet the needs of customers while promoting the development of our business.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Dedicated to customer service.
  • Knowledge of outlook/word/excel/teams/e-fax/hard and soft phone.
  • Already obtained or able to obtain Property and Casualty and Life, Accident and Health Licenses.

Compensation $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
